Dice By Wyrmwood & Dispel

Created by Wyrmwood & Dispel

Two of the biggest brands in tabletop gaming unite to bring a new collection of dice. Dispel has created all-new, exclusive colorways with their hallmark sharp-edge resin design, with stunning inclusions. Wyrmwood brings a collection of dice in a diverse mix of materials: gemstone and glass will take your gaming experience to the next level of luxury. Bring it all together with a Dice Vault or Tabletop Vault to protect your favorite set. All dice in the project are available as sets of 7, single d20s, additional 3d6, or exclusive high variance d20s. See below for everything we have to offer!

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Fulfillment begins THIS MONTH - last call to update your address!
over 2 years ago – Tue, Nov 02, 2021 at 03:55:22 AM

Hey, everyone!

We're closing in - with November upon us, we're getting ready to begin fulfillment! But don't just take our word for it...

Dispel Dice sets ready to ship!

As such, we wanted to take a moment to remind you to make sure your shipping information is up to date. In 48 hours, all addresses will be LOCKED. So if you've moved, or are going to be moving before or during your fulfillment month, get that address updated ASAP!

Newly arrived gemstone dice (Labradorite & Amethyst)

One other important note: from this point on, once fulfillment for a given wave begins, backers in that wave with surveys still outstanding will be "bumped" into the next available wave. To keep all of the numbers straight, we're shipping each tier with final numbers and addresses. So those in the November wave with surveys incomplete are now going to be fulfilled as part of the January wave. If the surveys remain incomplete once January fulfillment is underway, those backers will be bumped to February, and so on, all the way until the end of the campaign. So, if you somehow missed all the reminders and didn't fill out your survey... please do so as soon as possible!

Next Steps

We're continuing to receive the product for November, and the majority of what we need should be here at Wyrmwood MA in the next week or so. Most of this week will be spent organizing and preparing, both of the physical product and digitally, in terms of all the backer data and orders. We expect we'll begin actually shipping orders next week, and you'll start to receive your shipping notifications then. We'll likely remain shipping through the end of the month, as inventory continues to trickle in (the final shipments should arrive around the middle of November).

Now that we're officially entering fulfillment, you can expect another message on the 15th to let you know how we're tracking - November is always a VERY busy month, but at this time we expect to have no issues getting all orders shipped by the end of the month. Thanks you, as always, for your support!

End of September Fulfillment Update
over 2 years ago – Sat, Oct 02, 2021 at 02:34:36 AM

Hello all!

Here it is, October 1st. Estimated fulfillment for the campaign was to begin next month! One month out, with November looming large, do we still anticipate beginning to fulfill according to our original estimates?

We do, indeed!

As we're a month out, I wanted to share with you some data as we track production more closely.

Our gemstone dice supplier has completed the bulk of production, with the first order produced and awaiting packaging and shipment. They are currently manufacturing packaging, after which they will package the dice and ship them to us. Dispel, which represents a much larger percentage of the dice ordered in the campaign, is working through production now, with dice moving through the various production stages. And speaking of dice, here are some now...

For efficiency, Dispel is overproducing - with a bit under 60,000 Dispel Dice ordered in the November wave, over 80,000 dice are in active production! More are being added, daily, as well, since some colorways were exceptionally popular (looking at you, Vaporwave!) and will need additional runs added. Still, the vast majority of the required dice for November fulfillment are currently in production, with some of the dice completed and at the packing stage. Here's how the dice numbers are looking:

Dispel Dice November Wave Production Breakdown

**Number values are as of today only.

Casting

  • She Loves Me Not? (550 Pieces)
  • Vaporwave (2330 Pieces)

**These quantities will increase, as we are casting more everyday, for the colorways still in the casting process.

Sanding

  • Pastel Dreamscape (5414 Pieces)
  • Voidwalker (8327 Pieces)
  • Knifedancer (3389 Pieces)

Painting

  • Noble Ambition (5377 Pieces)
  • Sunken Treasure (5587 Pieces)
  • Sunset Eternal (1646 Pieces)
  • Event Horizon (4095 Pieces)
  • Tempest Rose (2522 Pieces)
  • Ethereal Light (2755 Pieces)
  • Pure Starlight (13274 Pieces)
  • 80's Kid (1606 Pieces)

Packing

  • Electric Kiss (7354 Pieces)
  • Scarlet Blade (10635 Pieces)
  • Last Voyage (2165 Pieces)
  • Dewdrop (995 Pieces)
  • Nightbloom (2679 Pieces)
  • Polar Disturbance D20 (2176 Pieces)

**Dice are being produced to greater numbers than ordered in November, to ease fulfillment in later months and make production run more efficiently

For a bit of a zoomed out view on how the Dispel production is going: about 65% of the Dispel Dice needed for November are in production now. About 15% are completed and being packed. About 20% remain queued for casting (the remainder of Vaporwave and She Loves Me Not?), and these will be added to production daily as the process keeps moving. And, as noted, the quantities you see in production above are all more than the amount required for November orders, which gives us a nice head of steam on fulfillment.

Since we're taking time off of fulfillment in December to deal with our holiday shipping rush and Christmas break, this will allow even more advancement for future waves. We should be able to resume fulfillment strong in January of 2022, as planned. Of course, we'll update you on how it's going as fulfillment actually gets underway next month.

That all sounds pretty good - so what remains to figure out? Shipping logistics. We will need to work out shipping particulars once all of the shipments are boxed and ready for transport - we need the weight, pallet quantities, dimensions, etc. However, we are shipping via air freight and don't anticipate many issues there - though it's important to note there could be some. Shipping is complex enough that it's worth discussing, especially in light of the current situation.

These are very much not candy.

Air Freight

Early on, we made the decision to avoid transportation by sea for this project. The reasons were twofold - first, we had an aggressive fulfillment timeline, and sea transport takes much, much longer, even under the best circumstances. Second, when we were planning fulfillment, it was decidedly not the best circumstances for sea transport. The ripple effects from the pandemic continued to play out, and that has not changed. You may have heard in the news - or other Kickstarter project updates - that the situation remains fraught, with ports backed up and containers full of product drifting along the California coast, awaiting unload and clearance. It's a mess.

The trade-off, of course, is that air transport is vastly more expensive, but as our goods are small and efficient to pack, it's a worthwhile investment to make and we're glad we decided to proceed by air. That said, we aren't the only ones turning to air freight in these times, and that could result in air transport being slower than usual. We'll keep you posted should we find out of trouble ahead, but for now, things look good.

Reminder: Pre-order Charges

Pre-orders & Charges

Pre-orders are charged on a weekly basis, every Friday. Generally, you can expect your pre-order to be locked and charged the first Friday after you place it. These orders are slated to ship after the final Kickstarter wave, which is anticipated to ship April 2022. We'll give more updates on the overall timeline once fulfillment gets underway in November.

Fulfillment Beginning Soon - Update your Shipping Address!

With fulfillment only a month away, it's a fantastic time to double-check your shipping information. Let us know if you've moved - you can change your shipping address in BackerKit yourself - simply follow your survey invitation that you were originally emailed, and follow the prompts. If you run into problems, please contact us and let us know ASAP and we'll be happy to help. We definitely want to make sure your dice make it to you safe and sound!

Thanks for your support, and we're excited to begin fulfilling your orders!

End of August Fulfillment Update
over 2 years ago – Thu, Sep 02, 2021 at 09:34:06 PM

Hello everyone!

Another month is over, and that means we're one more month closer to fulfillment!

How are things going? Quite well. We're tackling the final logistical concerns and planning out our shipping and receiving in detail to make sure everything arrives on time, and in the most efficient means possible. Production is well underway and all looks good to begin fulfillment on time.

Many backers are hopping onto the project via pre-orders - if you've placed a pre-order recently and are reading this - welcome!

Marching On

This is a short one, but again, we're just in that quiet period of steady production. No news is good news, at this point - we'll get some photos of finished product for the next update, if not sooner, and share how the timeline is looking - though, again, we don't anticipate any change to it at this stage.

Thanks for your support and attention, and we're looking forward to fulfilling in just a few short months!

The Hexagonal Gaming System by Wyrmwood: Live on Kickstarter NOW!
over 2 years ago – Thu, Aug 19, 2021 at 08:59:49 PM

As a backer of our most recent campaign, we wanted to let you know of our latest gaming accessory project!

Some of you might be surprised to learn we're launching another project before we've fulfilled (or officially begun to fulfill) this one - but it's not new to Wyrmwood, and in fact we've been operating this way for years. The reason is relatively simple. Wyrmwood is a company with many people and departments focused on different things. There's always something new in development and design... once it's ready, it heads for release - Kickstarter! And then the design team will focus on the next project to come, while the process engineers and production take over getting everything in place, and eventually fulfilling it. The projects run on separate tracks, but all of them need to keep running to keep us moving forward. Which means the continued release of cool stuff, like you'll see today. :)

The key takeaway is that our launch of a new campaign in no way means we aren't fully focused and committed to fulfilling this project, which is still moving in line with our original estimates. Production is already underway with Dispel and on our gemstone dice. However, there's always something on the horizon... and today, that something is called...

The Hexagonal Gaming System

The Wyrmwood Hexagonal Gaming System, combines our hexagonal Tabletop Vault and Hero Vault with our Tabletop Tiles line of board game organization accessories. Including many new designs, products and options, this campaign has a lot going on. Check out the page and see for yourself!

End of July Fulfillment Update
over 2 years ago – Tue, Aug 03, 2021 at 09:21:43 PM

Hello everyone!

Welcome to your regularly scheduled update! We'll reach out on or around the beginning of each month to let you know how things are progressing, and keep you aware of any relevant info you may need as a backer.

We're in a somewhat quiet period for this project, so we're a bit light on news at the moment. There's work going on - production of dice has begun, orders have been placed and are at various stages, samples are being ordered for some packaging, and the gears are turning... but we don't have a lot we can share yet, as it is mostly behind the scenes. But everything is on track, and we don't have any significant causes for concern regarding the fulfillment timeline at this point. Of course we'll let you know if that changes.

We will soon have photos and videos of some final samples to show you, but that will need to come a bit later, unfortunately.

New Video

We're actively promoting the project pre-orders now, and we've made a fun little video to do so. We thought you might like a first peek at it:

Pre-orders & Charges

For those of you reading this that have placed a pre-order: welcome aboard! As we detailed in our last update, pre-orders are charged on a weekly basis, every Friday. Generally, you can expect your pre-order to be locked and charged the first Friday after you place it. And, again, these orders are slated to ship after the final Kickstarter wave (estimated to ship in April 2022). We'll give more updates on the overall timeline once fulfillment gets underway later this year.

Until Next Time

That about does it for this one. Over the coming weeks, we'll be at work finalizing the details of the packaging and moving the production forward. For the next update, we are aiming to have some samples and various other assets to show you.

Thank you, backers, for your support! It means a lot to us, and we look forward to getting all of you your dice.
