Mid-January Fulfillment Update

Hello backers!


It's the middle of January, which means it's update time. How's the fulfillment going? Let's find out.


Slow Start, Steady Progress

Getting back into the swing of things post-holidays was a bit slower than we'd like, but fulfillment is progressing, and about to kick into high gear. There were some hold-ups with freight, but the Dispel shipment pictured in the last update is now in the Wyrmwood facility in Massachusetts, and being received and stocked as we speak. As soon as that's complete, it's pedal to the metal time on shipping out all the remaining orders for the month! It'll be tight, but we're moving labor around to ensure all the orders are shipped out by month's end.


After that, we'll move aggressively into February. Speaking of which...


February Backers: Addresses Locking Soon

We'll be locking down February addresses on Friday, January 28th. Please make any necessary changes to your address, whether you've moved since you filled out your survey, or are about to move, before that date. On the 28th, addresses lock and we'll be moving your orders to our fulfillment software to prepare for shipping next month.

It's January now, which means fulfillment is starting up again very soon... and from here on, it doesn't stop until the project is complete!


The January shipment from Dispel, packed and ready to ship to MA. By now, it may already be on its way!

January Wave: Shipping Soon

As such, January wave addresses have all been locked. February wave addresses will be locked soon, so make any order updates needed ASAP. You can always access your pledge by following this link (https://www.backerkit.com/backer_accounts). Log into your Backerkit account using the email you used to back the campaign. From this page, you should be able to access your order details for this  specific campaign and change your address. Craftsman's Promise

We've been seeing a lot of social media posts and messages from backers happily showing off their dice - which is always really great to see - if that's you, thank you! But unfortunately some orders will have issues, and both Wyrmwood and Dispel are committed to taking care of our backers that do run into problems. If you aren't satisfied with your dice, we aren't satisfied, either, and want to make it right. Reach out to us via direct message or by emailing [email protected], and we'll begin the process. We do what we can to make the return and replacement process easy, but be aware that it will take a little time - replacement items will be received and shipped out with the next fulfillment wave.


We understand that the delay may not be ideal, and we apologize for that. Please understand we will make every effort to get you your replacement items as soon as possible, but due to the nature of this project - where every item is created to fill an order - we don't have excess inventory to use for the returns and need to keep track of it separately. We also handle these items differently - they receive a slightly more exhaustive quality control check to ensure that there won't be another problem the second time around. So please bear with us as we work to ensure every backer has the best experience possible.


To January... and Beyond!

Fulfillment beyond January should remain on track - by far the most difficult wave to get out on time, as is the case virtually 100% of the time, is the first, and November was completed successfully. This laid the groundwork for a solid fulfillment moving forward, and January is looking better. At this point there's no reason to believe February won't continue that trend, and we look forward to a smooth fulfillment overall. Mid-December Fulfillment Update

Hello backers!


This month, we deliberately did not have a wave of fulfillment, to allow us to focus on our holiday shipping rush. However, that doesn't mean we're not busy - we're eagerly awaiting the January Dispel shipment, which should be arriving soon, and getting all the ducks in a row to make January fulfillment go smoothly.


To that end, a request for our January backers: if you have moved recently, please let us know immediately so we can update your address! Addresses remain locked since fulfillment is in progress, but we can make changes to January orders if we need to. We'll be pushing the orders into our shipping software at the end of this week, so please reach out with updated address information before then, if something has changed - or will change between now and the first week of February - so that we can ship your order to the right place.


Lastly, in the event you receive your order and something isn't right, you can certainly reach out to us. With hand-poured resin dice or dice made from materials like gemstone, there can be variability in the final product, and a given set may differ from the photo set prototypes shown during the campaign. If you are unhappy with the set you receive for any reason, contact us and we'll work with you to find a replacement or alternative.


If you do have an issue that requires a return, be aware there will be some lag-time - we're actively fulfilling the campaign, so we'll be ordering additional product for returns and replacements, since the stock on hand is reserved for backer orders. As such, replacements will be ordered along with the next wave's orders and shipped out, if not necessarily with that wave, after the current wave concludes. So for returns processing now, you can expect to have a replacement shipped out before, or concurrent with, the February wave of backer orders. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.

End of November Fulfillment Update

Hello backers!


With the first fulfillment month behind us, it's time to check in on our progress! It's been a very busy few weeks, but the big news is that the entire November wave has been shipped out on time.


We're seeing a lot of positive posts on social media, and big thanks to anyone that posted one! Of course, Dispel and Wyrmwood are known for our satisfaction guarantees, and anyone with an issue can just reach us via direct message or by emailing [email protected], and we'll be happy to work with you on a replacement or a refund.


It's been a huge challenge getting everything in place to fulfill this campaign, but we're off to a great start, and we thank you for your support along the way. If you've already received your order, we hope you're enjoying the new dice! And for those of you still waiting, don't worry - you'll be seeing them soon!

Next Steps

With November shipped, the January order is currently being processed and filled, and we don't anticipate any issues getting that out on time, as well. We skipped December in our fulfillment plan to allow us both to take the time to deal with our holiday orders. Mid-November Fulfillment Update: Shipping has begun!

Hello everyone!


The big news is right there in the title: November backers, get excited! Your dice will all be on the way very soon!

We're at the very beginning of the November ship-out, but we don't foresee any issues getting everything out by month's end. The majority of necessary stock has been received, and the remainder is on its way. It helps that these are generally pretty simple orders to pack and ship, too, and as you can imagine, our shipping department has handled a lot of dice and Dice Vault shipments over the years. So you can expect this to move fast.


Since fulfillment has officially begun, I'm going to include our fulfillment numbers in each update from here on out. We'll include some numbers on each wave and how many orders are shipped/pending, so you can track the overall fulfillment along with us. For now, as we're literally just starting the ship out, and it is still ongoing at time of publishing this update, there isn't a whole lot there - but in future updates it'll give a good snapshot of how fulfillment is going.

Next Steps

Well, at this point, it's simple, right? Receive the last of inventory for November, place the orders for January inventory, and ship lots of orders! If only it were as easy as it sounds... but don't worry, we're up to the task. That said, some things are out of our hands, and while we certainly hope they do not impact fulfillment, that's a possibility we can't rule out.


Shipping Concerns

Shipping is continuing to see severe bottlenecks, slowdowns and, in some cases, a complete shut down, as is the case between the US and Australia/New Zealand, while the USPS struggles to find available vessels to transport the mail to its destination. While we will do our best to ship out everything as soon as possible, please be patient while your order is in transit - especially those of you overseas. Postal services worldwide are starting to see the strain of the holiday season on an already extremely burdened sector, and this is likely to impact all of us over the coming weeks. Hopefully disruption of your orders from this project see minimal or no disruption, but we'd be remiss to not mention the possibility. Once your order ships, you should receive your tracking information and shipping notifications via email. Once we announce that the wave has completely shipped, if you still don't have your tracking info, reach out to customer service via direct message, and they can transmit that information to you directly.


Regarding the aforementioned Australia and New Zealand shipments - we're going to be bumping these shipments up to UPS at no additional charge for at least the November tier. This will incur significant additional expense on our part, and we are going to re-evaluate if the situation hasn't changed by January - though hopefully things are flowing well again by then. But, for the first wave, these orders will be shipped UPS to ensure they get to you with minimal delay. Call it an early Christmas gift, I guess. :)
